UTAS PhD research candidates who commenced their higher degree on or after January 1, 2009, will be provided with a laptop under the Graduate Research Laptop Scheme.

This laptop will become the student’s private property, meaning that it is theirs to use and keep as a private device.
The laptop includes applications and antivirus software, up to 5 Gigabytes of ‘cloud’ file storage, phone support and a backpack.
