Nominations for the $1000 Royal Society of Tasmania Annual Doctoral (PhD) Award close on 16 November, 2009.

Established in 1998, the annual award by The Royal Society of Tasmania is for a recently-graduated doctoral (PhD) academic, who has made significant advances in the course of their doctoral research.
Awarded for any field in sciences, medicine, arts or humanities within the purview of the Society, the work must also have been largely carried out in Tasmania or under the aegis of a Tasmanian-based organisation.
